Visiting USA during 2012 Holidays
As many of other people around the world. I am also planning to visit USA in 2012 for holiday. Since it’s a huge country with many places to see, i started to plan my holiday early. I talked to my friends who live in the United States, i googled and i asked my online American friends about the places to see. After a long research period, i made up my mind and my list for a 7 day holiday. As i will be mostly staying in New York, i focused my research around New York.Here is what i’m planning for my USA visit :
Day 1 :
As i will have jetlag for sure, i planned tos tay close to my hotel fort he first day. I’ll check in,then have a coffe at the nearest coffee shop and i will try to orientate. Maybe i’ll go out to a pub if i’m not too exhausted.
Day 2 : Classic Harbour Line Trip
I always think the harbour is a must see if you visit a seaside city. This trip takes about 3 hours and includes a brunch. It was highly recommended by my friends so it is a must for me. I think it will give met he best perspective of this gigantic metropol.
At the evening i’m planning to go to Broadway and fool around. I will see Phantom of the opera for sure. I’m not sure if i want to see any other show, but i already reserved two night for broadway,so who knows.
Day 3 : Times Square
Most of the christmas movies show the Times Square fort he countdown, maybe because of this i want to see this place so much. This is a relaxing day, so i’ll just g oto Times Square to see around and maybe shop a little. Then i’m planning to see central park if i can, i’m not sure if they are even close.
Tonight i will have dinner with my friends, so i have no idea where we will be.
Day 4 : Madison Square Garden
This day is reserved for a Madison Square Garden event which will take place in the evening. So i’m not sure about my day time, maybe i will take the ferry to the staten island. I just wish to see a knicks game live, i can even change my holiday schedule to see them play.
Day 5 : Statue of Liberty
Of course without visiting the Statue of Liberty, this trip would be noncomplete. I will wake up early, and spend at least half the day to see the statue,and buy souvenirs form y friends.
In the afternoon i will meet my internet friends, we’ll have some drinks,and who knows about the rest.
Day 6 : Hangover
It’s for sure that at least one of my days will be spent for hangover. I will stay around my hotel, maybe have a walk in the central park. In the evening i can do my second Broadway trip to see the Adams Family. Then i can go to a club with my friends, i’ve heard a lot about the clubs of the NYC, but i must keep in mind to control how many drinks i have
Day 7 : Packing up
I know 7 days is a very short period for a USA holiday, i so have to spend my time very concentrated. But if i had the chance,i would make it at least a 15 days trip. So many places need to be seen,like Manhattan, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center etc, but i have a short holiday, so had to limit it. Anyway, day 7 will be spent for packing up and buying gifts for family and i’m sure i will be miserable for leaving this city so early.
